Your Ethyca Privacy Center - Experience Guide
What you and your customers can expect from your custom Ethyca Privacy Center
Ethyca's Privacy Center provides a centralized place for your customers to manage their personal privacy rights. The guide below walks you through the customer privacy journey.
Getting Started and Identity Verification
Your customer decides they would like to access their data in your company’s systems. The customer goes to your website and navigates to your custom Privacy Center page.

On your Privacy Center page, the customer can download their data, delete their data, and manage their consent settings.

After the customer has selected the action they would like to take, a pop-up asks for an email address to verify their identity.

The customer receives an email with a two-factor authentication code.

The customer returns to the Privacy Center and enters the code they received via email.

Customer Selects “Download Your Data”
After verifying their identity, the customer receives a notification that the system is processing their download request.

They also receive an email confirming their request.

If your company has selected manual processing for data subject requests, someone on your team approves the request. Once the request is approved, your customer receives an email with a link to download their data.

The customer data is stored in a file named subject request package.zip. Once unzipped, your customer can view any data that was found in your integrations and databases as an easy-to-read HTML webpage titled MyData.html which can be opened in any browser.

Customer Selects “Delete Your Data"
After verifying their identity, the customer receives a notification that the system is processing their deletion request.

They also receive an email confirming their request.

Your customer receives an email once their data has been deleted.

Customer Selects “Manage Consent Settings”
After verifying their identity, your customer accesses the Consent Management page and can opt in or out of the listed processing activities.

When the customer returns to your website, their information will not be sold to third party advertisers.
No Data is Found
If the customer is not found in your system for a Download or Deletion request, they receive an email notification that no data was found.
