Textline - For Access Requests
Ethyca uses the following endpoints in Textline to retrieve Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:
|Endpoint||User Can Download||User Can Delete|
|Customer||Yes||See Textline - For Deletion Requests|
|Conversation||Yes||See Textline - For Deletion Requests|
Textline only supports intake of deletion requests (RTF requests) via email so there is a separate integration within Ethyca to automate these emails to Textline.
Because Textline is a business text messaging platform, it stores PII about your customers and the customers they are referring. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject's DSR package.
If this aligns with your use of Textline, please proceed to the next section to begin setting up your integration in the Control Panel.
For any questions, please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
To locate the API key and connect your instance of Textline to Ethyca, follow the steps below:
1. Sign in at application.textline.com.
2. Select "settings" in the top navigation bar.
3. Select "Tools & Integrations" from the left navigation.
4. Select "Developer API" in the Textline Integrations section.
5. Your API key appears in the middle of the page. Copy and paste this into Ethyca.
The Finishing Touches
If you are using Ethyca's Atlas, please identify what column mapped to Atlas contains the
phone_number of your subject. Once identified, please notify your Ethyca Customer Success Manager who will then complete the last step in identity propagation mapping.
