OpenWeb
Implementation Summary
Ethyca uses the following endpoints in OpenWeb to retrieve and delete Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:
Because OpenWeb is an online conversation platform, it stores PII about your customers. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject's DSR package.
If this aligns with your use of OpenWeb, please proceed to the next section to begin setting up your integration in the Control Panel.
For any questions, please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
Connection Settings
To locate your Access Token (Users), Access Token (Export Requests), and Spot ID,
and connect your instance of OpenWeb to Ethyca, follow the steps below:
- Log in to OpenWeb at admin.spot.im.

- Click "settings" in the main navigation.

- Scroll down the page to the section labeled "Authentication Tokens." This is where you will find your Access Token (Users) (labeled SSO _in OpenWeb) and your Access Token (Export Requests) (labeled _Export in OpenWeb). Copy and paste these values into Ethyca.

- Look at the browser's URL bar when you are logged into your account. Your Spot ID is the section of the URL immediately following
spot/
. For example, in the URLhttps://admin.spot.im/spot/
sp_1234ABCD
/preferences
, the Spot ID issp_1234ABCD
. Copy and paste this value into Ethyca. If you don't see these tokens in your OpenWeb admin settings, send an email to your OpenWeb account manager or [email protected].

The Finishing Touches
If you are using Ethyca's Atlas, please identify what column mapped to Atlas contains the userId
of your subject. Once identified, please notify your Ethyca Customer Success Manager who will then complete the last step in identity propagation mapping.
