Implementation Summary

Ethyca uses the following endpoints in Iterable to retrieve and delete Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:

Because Iterable is a growth marketing platform, it stores PII about your customers and the customers they are referring. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject's DSR package.

Connection Settings

To connect for your instance of Iterable to Ethyca, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in at https://app.iterable.com.

2. In the "integrations" dropdown, select "API Keys."

3. Click "New API Key."

4. Enter a descriptive name for your API key, such as "Ethyca Privacy Management" and click "Create."

5. Copy your API Key into Ethyca. Your API Key will only be shown once.

Additional Information

Iterable has provided a specific endpoint for processing privacy requests. It is called the "Forget User" endpoint, which we leverage in our integration. Iterable has stated that "It can take up to ten minutes for Iterable to forget a user." This should be taken into consideration when attempting to validate the integration.
