Heap
Implementation Summary
Ethyca uses the following endpoint in Heap to delete Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:
Endpoint | User Can Download | User Can Delete |
---|---|---|
User Deletion | No | Yes |
Because Heap is a product analytics tool, it stores PII about your customers and the customers they are referring. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject's DSR package.
This deletion may take 3-7 business days to fully process the request. This is dependent on Heap's current queue of deletions as well as the number of places that the data subject's data resides in. For instance, users that live in Heap as well as Heap Connect warehouses will take longer than than just users that live in Heap. For additional information on Heap's deletion SLA, please contact your Heap account manager.
If this aligns with your use of Heap, please proceed to the next section to begin setting up your integration in the Control Panel.
For any questions, please reach out to your dedicated Customer Success Manager.
