Implementation Summary

Ethyca uses the following endpoints in Friendbuy to retrieve and delete Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:

Because Friendbuy is a referral marketing platform, it stores PII about your customers and the customers they are referring. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject’s DSR package.

Connection Settings

To locate your Access Key and Secret Key and connect your instance of Friendbuy to Ethyca, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Friendbuy at retailer.friendbuy.com/login

  1. In the left navigation, select "settings." This will open a dropdown menu. Select "configurations."

  1. Click the tile that says "API Access."

  1. Click "show" to reveal your Access Key and Secret Key. Copy these values into Ethyca.

The Finishing Touches

If you are using Ethyca’s Atlas, please identify what column mapped to Atlas contains the friendbuy_id, account_id, or email of your subject. Once identified, please notify your Ethyca Customer Success Manager who will then complete the last step in identity propagation mapping.
