Implementation Summary

Ethyca uses the following endpoint in Datadog to retrieve Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when a user submits a data subject request. See below for a summary of what Ethyca does with each endpoint:

Because Datadog is a network and service monitoring tool, it stores PII about your customers and the customers they are referring. Keep this in mind when you are setting the DSR Customization as it will impact what is returned in your subject’s DSR package.

Connection Settings

To connect your instance of Datadog to Ethyca, follow the steps below:

Select Your Region
Are you in the US or the EU? Select the correct option from the dropdown under "Connection Settings" in the Ethyca Control Panel.

Create Your API Key

  1. Log in to Datadog at [app.datadoghq.com].(https://app.datadoghq.com/account/login?next=%2F)

  1. Select "Integrations" from the left navigation. Select "APIs" from Integrations menu.

  1. Click "API Keys."

  1. Under "New API Key," enter a memorable name, such as Ethyca Privacy Management. Click "Create API Key."

  1. Your new API Key will appear in the table above. It will be hidden behind a purple box. Hover over the purple box to reveal your API Key. Copy and paste your API Key into Ethyca.

Create Your Application Key:

  1. Select "Integrations" from the left navigation. Select "APIs" from Integrations menu.

  1. Under "New Application Key," enter a memorable name, such as Ethyca Privacy Management. Click "Create Application Key."

  1. Your new Application Key will appear in the table above. It will be hidden behind a purple box. Hover over the purple box to reveal your Application Key. Copy and paste your Application Key into Ethyca.
